Early life
[edit]Oni is the youngest of fyra children of her family. She spent 20 years living in the United Kingdom before she returned to Nigeria in [5] As a 10 year old, she wanted to be an actress after she saw Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, Aspects of Love, at The Oxford Playhouse.
She had her secondary education at Headington School, a girls' fee-paying school in Oxford, England, where she was the first black head girl. She attended the University of Bristol where she obtained a degree in chemistry.[6]

Dolapo Oni had her primary education at the Lebanese Community School in Lagos, and secondary education at Headington Girls Independent School in Oxford in the UK, where she became the first black head girl. She went on to attain a degree in Chemistry from the University of Lagos. She earned a postgraduate degree from the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London, proceeding from that point to become a presenter and actress.

I am an actress and media personality. I was born in Lagos and I am the youngest of four children. I had my secondary education at Headington Girls Independent School in Oxford, United Kingdom. I was the first black head girl of the school. I have a degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol, UK. I am direct, fun-loving and I don’t dwell so much on trivial issues.
Acting
From when I was 10, I had wanted to be an actress after I first saw the musical, Aspects of Love by Andrew Lloyd Webber at The Oxford Playhouse in the UK. My parents wanted me to study a course they felt I could fall back on and I chose Chemistry because I was good at it. Acting is my one true love and there is no greater feeling.
Homecoming
I wasn’t fulfilled and something kept calling me to return home. I came to Nigeria for five months prior to moving back finally and I didn’t get any acting engagement. I literally woke up one day and called my parents to inform them that I was moving home in a month and I did. I got an acting gig one week after I relocated to Nigeria.
