Mother Language Day: CA releases commemorative postage stamp
Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on Wednesday unveiled a commemorative postage stamp, an inaugural envelope and a seal on the occasion of the International Mother Language Day.
Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Nahid Islam was present at the ceremony at the Chief Adviser's Office in Tejgaon.
International Mother Language Day was proclaimed by the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) in November
The initiative to establish the day originated from Bangladesh, and the UN General Assembly welcomed the proclamation in its resolution.
At the same event, Chief Adviser Dr Yunus also released a commemorative postage stamp, an inaugural envelope, and a seal to celebrate the 7th National Comdeca (Community Development Camp).
