At 84 years of age, Dr Bob Delmonteque runs marathons, cycles miles, and bench- presses over pounds. Bob is an example of how to slow and reverse aging and live life to the fullest. At age 65 he noticed he was beginning to lose muscle tone, definition and mass. He decided he needed to grow younger and devised a program to do so. He shares this simple program in his book "Lifelong Fitness", available at major bookstores here. If you can't find a copy, drop me a line and I'll tell you where you can get hold of one.
NASA recruited Dr Bob to set up and run the physical and mental health program for the first two sets of Apollo astronauts. Bob Delmonteque trained astronaut John Glenn in the 's, and again in when Glenn returned to space as the first senior to do so.
The National Fitness Hall of Fame has honored Dr. Bob Delmonteque, MD with their Lifetime Achievement Award. Click hereto read more about this remarkable senior.

The Longest Now
Some stories are too good to be true. Such is the story of Bob Delmonteques life
He was a popular beefcake model in his youth. Pictures from his youth are now worth a tidy bundle. He himself was known in those days as a photographer of male nudes. He went on to become a major national exercise trainer, and was one of the trainers for the original Apollo astronauts Somewhere in there, he got a degree in (sports) psychology. Some recent pictures:

Today Delmonteque is 84, has a build most year olds would kill for, and spends his time promoting his line of age-defying products and still modeling his physique for weight gyms in California. Heres a charming article he published recently, in which he coyly refers to himself in the third person
If I find a good reference to one of his photo exhibits (photos by him, not of him), Ill post it here. Maybe Ill even find a woman with a similar story! [the woman who h
Bob Delmonteque has died. He passed away on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, in Los Angeles. The online autobiography completely omits the part of Delmonteque's life that may be of greatest interest to readers here. After the end of WWII, Delmonteque became one of the great early male physique models. He was initially made famous by photographer Douglas of Detroit, whose photos of Delmonteque appeared in nearly every male fitness and physical culture magazine of the day — this at a time when frontal male nudity could land you in jail.
While doing research for the Quaintance bio, I made an effort to locate as many people as possible who might have known Quaintance personally. One of those was Bob Delmonteque. I telephoned him (he had great disdain for email) and he graciously invited me to spend a day with him at his home in Woodland Hills, Calif. This was in the spring of
